Alfred Alexander Gordon Clark was born in Mickleham in 1900, and educated at St. Aubyn's, Rottingdean and Rugby. He read History at New College, Oxford.
This novel, "When the Wind Blows", has twenty chapters:

Clark gave us altogether ten novels using the pseudonym Cyril Hare:

Also quite a number of short stories.
