There are four parts, or "Books":

Book 1 - General Notions, consisting of three chapters

Book 2 - Ontology - the General Structure of Reality, consisting of five chapters

Book 3 - Cosmology - the Interpretation of Nature, consisting of six chapters

Book 4 - Rational Psychology - the Interpretation of Life, consisting of six chapters

Alfred Edward Taylor was born in Oundle in 1869.

Actually this book is not a difficult read.
