Roine Rautio was born on July 20, 1934, in Petrozavodsk (Soviet Karelia) as the youngest of the three sons of Finnish-born composer Karl (or Kalle) Rautio, who had moved to Petrozavodsk in 1922, and was to be become the author of the Karelo-Finnish Soviet Socialist Republic's state anthem. Successful and promising both as a composer and as a conductor, Roine Rautio died with his brother Heino on August 19, 1960, in a boat accident on Lake Onega.
This recording of his four-movement Symphony is ripped from an ultra-rare Melodiya LP, released in 1962. The Karelian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra is conducted by Aleksandr Dmitriev.

Curiously, Grove gives the names of the three Rautio brothers as Matti, Erkki and Paavo.
Matti was born in Helsinki on 25th February 1922, so Roine has to be either Erkki or Paavo....

We need very soon to make a list of all composers.
