Having got heartily sick and tired of having to listen to CDs on the laptop I have taken the plunge and just acquired a KLIM Discman, which has had lots of excellent reviews on comparison sites, as well as on Amazon - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B088D39WM9?ref_=pe_27063361_487360311_302_E_DDE_dt_1Once it's charged up I'll audition it with the new Sullivan CD from Dutton and see how it copes with the 1863 Procession March which is something of a crash-bang-wallop. Do other members have this model or something similar? :)

This is an absolute corker! Great sound, easy to navigate and (unlike most other players) capable of ear-bursting volume, which is just how I like my music. I think I'll see how it handles Mahler 8 and Mosolov's "Iron Foundry"... ;D

Currently subjecting it to Korngold's operatic juggernaut "Das Wunder der Heliane" (Decca)... ;D

Well, Mr. Albion - have been agonising over one of these for years ! Gone with your recommendation, & bought from Amazon. Will be round with a shotgun if it turns out not to be absolutely perfect (No, don't contact MI5..sure it will be fine; & never said shotgun wound be loaded !).
Thanks for the 'steer', & fingers crossed...will add thoughts after receipt !
