Frank Bridge was born in Brighton in 1879.

Before the war, the most ecstatically Delian moments unfold in textbook polyphony, Bridge’s mastery of traditional techniques being now firmly wedded to his poetic expression.

Several traits of later Bridge characterize these pieces, particularly in turns of melody and in the increased chromaticism, but their easy-going "romanticism" is still far from the searing intensity of his postwar style.

Piano Quintet (1912). There are three movements:

I. Adagio - Allegro moderato
II. Adagio ma non troppo - Allegro con brio - Adagio
III. Allegro energico

The performers were:

Piano: Hye-In Choi
Violin I: Nathaniel Shapiro
Violin II: Ariana Cappon
Viola: Jinrok Kim
Cello: Diana Wuli
