Not wholly relevant but that reminds me of my late piano teacher Ronald Meachen who, at a cocktail party, was approached by a very pompous man who announced "Good evening. I am the Recorder of Norwich," to which Ron's immediate riposte was "Hello. I am the crumhorn of Wigan."

He must have strayed from a local production of Gloriana with his wicker flaskets, or knicker caskets (or whatever they were)...
