Yes, Iron Foundry (1926-27) is a seminal work, together with Prokofiev's equally decibel-busting Scythian Suite (1915-16) and Varèse's Amériques (1918-21, rev. 1927). Quite a trilogy...

...well worth getting to know. Just make sure the neighbours have safely toddled off to the supermarket for the large weekly shop.
