Audacity - not a clue. Know I'm way behind the 8 ball on such things, but still find it hard to believe that with an education beyond degree level, some of these IT programs feel like a probe from another galaxy.

You and me both. I had Audacity on an old PC and it flummoxed me completely. I am more at home with fibre needles, a dog and a trumpet.
