If people are now having problems with Mediafire (I personally haven't used it for a while, but have always been suspicious of it because it is based in the USA, land of the "commercial bastards"), here are two alternatives I can recommend - few ads, few restrictions, no malware etc., very reliable and long-lasting:

Try:
http://ulozto.net    (based in the Czech republic I believe)

Or try:
https://mega.co.nz   (based in New Zealand and run by "Mr. Dotcom", who seems harmless)

But while I'm writing, many thanks to Christopher for all the music!!!!

Yes indeed - some very juicy stuff, which I was very interested to hear!  Of course, Christopher bears no responsibility for these mediafire twerps and their malware!!

Eset-Nod did a good job of identifying and quarantining the unwanted material :)

Hi everybody,

Just to inform you that I also have files stored at Mega Cloud Drive. It works o.k. so far. Even faster than Mediafire. The irritating thing is that you have to go to the drive via your browser. But apart from that: pretty satisfying.

About Ulož: it works easy, but is pretty slow. If not paying you can download only one file at-a-time.
I don't know what the possibilities are when you pay for their services.

Dropbox also works well, but they are far too expensive to my taste. As a free user toy have 2GB space. Works faster than the above. Downloading was fast. You can also zip the files you like to download

All the best

Explore the Crystal Clear S0und of Sonotape SW 1005
Sorry for the cross post- there are multiple nationalities involved!

From the collection of Karl Miller

http://www.mediafire.com/download/uaqovdwdfgsmjw1/Sonotape.zip

This is an interesting find- a transfer a commercial Reel to Reel Tape issued in the 1950s, with a lively cross section of 20th Century Music. Anything with Iron Foundry and Sensemaya has to be good! I'm pretty sure  the image above is of the source of  Karl's transfer.

If you paid 60 cents in November of 1956 for your new copy of High Fidelity, you would have found the following review.

Not the friendliest review but with a 15 inch  per second source tape, as opposed to a worn LP, you will really get some very good sound from recordings that are more than 60 years old.    From what I  can guess, the "study in percussion" may have been something whipped up by the engineers to show off the speakers in your bachelor pad,  as it was not released on vinyl. It was probably created  to show off the "crystal clear" sound of tape, and maybe to rival your collection of Martin Denny Exotica albums.

As you download this file, I'd suggest getting out your martini shaker, and pour drinks for two.
