Excellent news  :)

If you are reasonably computer-savvy you can set decent browsers to alert you if a site attempts to set a cookie on your computer - and accept or not.

But for the majority of users who can't be bothered or don't know how, this is a victory.

Just this week I was pleased to find that the UK Trading Standards Officers are going to take action against a persistent spammer who has been invading my inbox with adverts for kitchen products for the last two months - constantly changing IP and domain in order to do so. By somewhat devious means I managed to find a street address and telephone number for the offenders. These bastards need to be stopped.
