Playing now,in tonight's cassette-a-thon! Hindemith: Mathis der Maler  San Francisco Symphony / Herbert Blomstedt     Philips Cassette

Great sound coming from this machine! If the long rest did the cassette deck this much good I'm going to have to try my washing machine! ;D Again,a scan of my own cassette, uploaded to the world wide web! And,no I don't have it on cd!! ::) Well, not this, particular, performance! This recording by Blomstedt is supposed to be very good! I'm no expert on Hindemith, but I am enjoying this! Looking forward to turning the cassette over for side 2! The deck does have the facility to play or record on the other side, automatically;but it can cause the heads to go out of alignment over time and chaps who re-align heads are few and far between these days. And even if you can find someone, they won't be cheap!! I only use the facility, very occasionally! And only to record something if I can't be in! And there isn't that much point these days, even if there is anything worth recording, these days ::)
