The following post by R Couzens on the Chandos forum seems to suggest that they are interested in the idea of recording some Hilding Rosenberg!

"Thank you for your suggestions.
I have responded to the Williamson in another post.
Hilding Rosenberg is an interesting idea and one which I have discussed previously with Sir Andrew Davis.
Will certainly follow this up."

Andrew Davis has recorded the Rosenberg Symphony No. 3 for Finlandia (a cd which may be difficult to find). This was during his short period as principal conductor of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. So he "has form" as they say.

BIS did actually get Mario Venzago, during his short period as principal conductor of the Gothenberg Symphony Orchestra, to record Symphonies Nos. 3 and 6.

One of the problems is that Nos. 4 and 5 are choral symphonies. Choral symphonies cost more money to record and thse two would certainly benefit from the use of a Swedish choir.

Still....promising Smiley
