Skorulskyi, Mikhaylo Adamovych (1887-1950)
Ukraine

First Symphony - excerpt - Andante Funebre

Ukrainian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Vadym Gnedash

Recorded 1987.

This symphony was written in 1924 and dedicated to Glazunov.

An acquaintance located Skorulskyi's granddaughter in Ukraine: she had some recordings of her grandfather's music in magnetic reel format. The recordings have been made by holding a microphone close to the magnetic reel player, hence the sound quality.

From the private collection of the composer's grand-daughter.  I am trying to ascertain if this is from a complete recording.

Levko Kolodub (Ukrainian, 1930-2019)
Ukrainian Dances (1996)
Ukrainian National TV & Radio Academic Symphony Orchestra
    Viktoriya Zhadko, conductor

23 FLAC files in one RAR folder.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/7qo219s3ijk7yl4/kolodub-ukrainian-dances.rar

Twenty-three colorful orchestral arrangements of Ukrainian folk dances. I got these files a number of years ago from a Russian website (I don't remember which one anymore), and I have no idea of their source. Not a commercial recording as far as I know -- I've certainly never seen any form of this offered for sale anywhere.
