I am very curious about this late-romantic/early-modern Swiss composer whose compositions show the influences of Scriabin, Liszt, and other composers of the period. His Piano Sonata no. 2, op. 36 (1917) and his Suite no. 4 for piano, op. 56 are on the Guild CD "Piano Music from Zurich 1870-1930" and his Fantasy on "O Haupt voll Blut und Wunden" for piano is on the Guild CD "Eye of the Storm". You can also find some of his piano pieces on YouTube. But it is his orchestral works that I am most interested in, which include (according to Wikipedia):
-two symphonies (the first has a choral finale)
-Swiss Festival Overture
-concertos for piano, violin (1914), and cello
Frey also composed:
-Piano Quintet
-String Quartet
-Piano Trio
-Violin Sonata in D major, op. 22 (1909) (available at IMSLP)
-Cello Sonata in B major, op. 8 (1911) (available at IMSLP)
-much piano music
-organ music
-songs
Any uploads of Frey's music would be greatly appreciated, especially any of the orchestral pieces :). Here's his Wikipedia article:
