Karl Yngve Sköld was born in Vallby (Sweden) in 1899. He gave us four symphonies:

Symphony No. 1 (1915)
Symphony No. 2 (1937)
Symphony No. 3 (1948)
Symphony No. 4 (1966)

and four string quartets:

String quartet no. 1 (1930)
String quartet no. 2 (1955)
String quartet no. 3 (1965)
String quartet no. 4 (1974)
