Pyotr Podkovyrov was born in Chelyabinsk (a city in Russia) in 1910. He gave us five symphonies:

no 1 (1940)
no 2 (1947)
no 3 (1949)
no 4 (1972).
no 5 (1977)

Here is his symphony no. 5 in C major (1977). There are four movements:

I. Adagio
II. Allegro moderato
III. Adagio
IV. Allegro risoluto
