Weli Mukhatov was born in Bagyr (Russian Empire, now Turkmenistan) in 1916. He gave us at least two symphonies:

Symphony no. 1 "In Memory of Makhtumkuly" (1974)

Symphony no. 2, "Heroic" (1980)
