Johann Cilenšek was born in Großdubrau (Germany) in 1913. He gave us five symphonies:

Symphony No. 1 (1954)
Symphony No. 2 'Sinfonie mit der Trauermusik' (1955)
Symphony No. 3 (1957)
Symphony No. 4 for strings (1958)
Symphony No. 5 'Konzertante Sinfoni' (1959)

as well as a piano quintet (1995).

Here is his second symphony. It has three movements:

I. Allegro vivace
II. Trauermusik: Adagio - Andante molto sostenuto
III. Allegretto
