Vladimir Bokes was born in Bratislava in 1946. He gave us seven symphonies:

Sym. no. 1, op.8, 1970

Sym. no. 2, op.24, 1978

Sym. no. 3, op.36, 1980

Sym. no. 4 (choral), 1982

Sym. no. 5, op. 51, 1987

Sym. no. 6, op. 73, 2003

Sym. no. 7, op. 80, 2011

also three string quartets:

no.1, op.10, 1971
no.2, op.18, 1974
no.3, op.44, 1982
