An administrative grouping of four separate British colonies on the west coast of Africa: The Gambia, Sierra Leone, Gold Coast (now Ghana) and Nigeria. They gained independence between 1957 and 1965, and each now has its own coinage.

Monetary System: 12 Pence = 1 Shilling
