I just saw this on the BBC News website and imagined it might pique the interest of one or two members here:

I haven't listened to any of them yet but I will. There probably isn't an undiscovered Amy Beach or even a Florence Price among them but it's a sociologically interesting project in any case.

Gosh! I've listened to some of them now; the pressing sociological question is not "Why were these composers forgotten?" so much as "How did this drivel ever get published?" And what can Dame Clara Butt have been thinking when she actually sang one of them?
