Jindřich Feld was born in Prague in 1925.

He gave us three grand symphonies from the years 1967, 1983 and 1998. Also six string quartets:

String quartet no. 1, 1949

String quartet no. 2, 1952

String quartet no. 3, 1962

------

String quartet no. 4, 1965

There are four movements:

I. Adagio
II. Allegro
III. Scherzo. Allegro molto
IV. Adagio

The work was performed by the Martinů Quartet:

Lubomír Havlák (violin)
Libor Kaňka (violin)
Jan Jíša (viola)
Michal Kaňka (cello)]

String quartet no. 6, 1993

There are four movements:

1. Lento. Allegro con spirito. Lento
2. Lento. Andantino. Lento
3. Vivace. Lento. Vivace
4. Lento. Tempo giusto

It was performed by the Pražák Quartet:

Václav Remeš - violin
Vlastimil Holek - violin
Josef Klusoň - viola
Michal Kaňka - cello
