Klaus Egge was born in Gransherad - now part of Notodden - in 1906.

He gave us five grand symphonies, three piano concertos, one violin concerto, a cello concerto and one string quartet:

String quartet opus 5 (1933).

There are four movements, given in four separate files:

I. Largo funebre
II. Allegro
III. Andante fugato
IV. Finale: Allegro

It was played by the Oslo Quartet:
