George Frederick Watts was born in Marylebone in 1817. He showed tremendous artistic promise very early, and was enrolled as a student at the Royal Academy at the age of eighteen.

In 1905 Stanford dedicated the sixth of his seven grand symphonies to the memory of Watts's great sculptures and paintings.

Here is Watts's "Time, Death and Judgement" from 1884, which, we are informed, may be seen at St. Paul's Cathedral:
