I cannot remember if I ever listened to the Two Pianos Concerto.
I agree with you on Symphonies 1 and 2. But I also admire No. 3, esp. its throwaway slap in the face final gesture.
I love the tenderness of the Stabat Mater, an almost spring-like piece despite its gloomy subject matter.
Did any of you listen to his string quartets? I couldn‘t manage squeezing them into my busy listening schedule yet.
