By chance I have come across an online concert recording of "The Page: A cantata from Mazeppa" by Michael Balfe (1808-1870), performed in 2006 by the University of Manitoba Women's Choir under Henry Engbrecht.  It's with piano accompaniment rather than the presumed orchestra. It's in 10 parts including an overture, and each part is downloadable as an mp3 track.

Thanks for this - fascinating to hear Balfe not writing for the opera house! I have combined the music files and put this in the archive, alongside his attractive Concert Overture in C (c.1850).

Thanks Albion!  Are those the only Balfe pieces we have? He seems to have been quite a prolific composer (I don't know him well at all).  And - Irish or Scots? I have seen both cited!

No problem. We also have a Piano Trio in A (date uncertain) in the archive. Definitely Irish, born in Dublin in 1808 -
