Another anniversary this year (alongside Potter [d.1871], Stravinsky [d.1971], Arnold [b.1921], Zemlinsky [b.1871] and Simpson [b.1921])!

Does anyone know of any planned celebrations, new recordings or live events to mark this particular centenary?

 ???

I don't, sadly. I absolutely adore the music of Camille Saint-Saëns and one of my purchases in the near future will certainly be this:

I absolutely adore the music of Camille Saint-Saëns[.]

Another fan here! I have the Decca box

which is wonderful, but mainly concentrates on the concertos, together with the chamber-music set by the Nash Ensemble on Hyperion.

 :)

I once had a DVD of Samson and Delilah - Placido Domingo in a bouffant wig as I recall and some "Crossroads" scenery-wobbling when the temple decided it had just had enough of the ham-acting: shoddy building regs in them days...

I have a pretty comprehensive collection too. His music is so romantic yet so elegant (and so wonderfully French).

I don't bother with DVDs of operas. I just listen to the music and leave the action and scenery to my imagination (which is also quite shoddy these days).

I think that many of us know that feeling...
