Unfortunately the scheduled performance of Ruth Gipps' Chanticleer Overture was rendered hors de combat by a burst water-main at Watford, apparently (according to the BBC)...



...nevertheless, I shall continue to wade through the week's broadcasts.

8.30am on a Sunday morning: Radio 3 reverts to type with "When the red, red robin comes bob-bob-bobbing along"...

Radio 3 is almost beyond hope. Once upon a time it was the constant companion to my waking hours. But not for about the last 20 years...
