I have written to various places in Russia requesting information on the "composer, violinist and concertmaster of the USSR Bolshoi Theatre" Grigory Zaborov (1929-85): Melodiya, the Bolshoi Theatre, The Svetlanov International Conducting Competition, etc. In some I had answers and in others I did not. The most interesting came from the Museum of the Bolshoi Theater, who informed me that the choir artist Irina Nikolaevna Parfenova published the book "The Bolshoi Theater in the Biographies of Musicians", which contains an article on Zaborov. The BT Museum staff sent me a photograph of the aforementioned article. If someone can translate from Cyrillic we will have info on the obscure composer.
As I canīt upload the images, I am sending them to Holger. Maybe he knows how to do it. (Thank you a lot for receiving them!)
