Just saw that Naxos has a new release of Sym 1 and 2 of Alberic Magnard.  I have both the BIS release and the EMI release... just wondered if anyone has heard the Naxos recording and if its worth adding to my collection.    As you may now know, Magnard was a French composer and lived during WW1. His father was director of the famous Le Figaro newspaper in Paris.
Magnard was shot by German soldiers while defending his home.  The home was burned down and destroying a vast sum of paper manuscripts ... however, these symphonies somehow were retrieved.

Let me know your thoughts..??
