Thank you for this.  Järvi and the ENSO have recorded the symphony, the pc and the overtures before - do you know if these are fresh recordings or repackagings?

The recording is now available for hi-res download from the Chandos website. You can also access the booklet there for free, where you will see that the recordings are new, dating from 2017/18.

Not that I'll pre-judge, but when has a re-do of the same work by the same conductor been preferable (as a performance) to the original?

I'd have much rather had Jarvi (and Chandos) choose some altogether fresh works by deserving composers in need of exposure.
