Have you tried asking Vardo Rumessen? He might be able to identify it (if it is indeed Estonian, that is!).
I do correspond with Vardo btw... a great source.  He does have a gmail account.

Holger - what is in this bunch of Estonian symphonies?  We are curious!!)))
This is quite a mixture but a good deal comes from the Estonian mp3 site which I referred to quite some times in the past (muusika24 - quite a good resource), though I also have some which come from other sources like LPs and I will check whether there is something uploadable among them. If you are searching for something particular just write me a line!

Just wondered what this was also??  Back in Tallinn.

Hmmm, I was hoping that Heimar Ilves's symphonies would surface on muusika24. They have string quartets, Eesti Raadio has one movement of Ilves's second symphony on their website, but the legendary recordings which the late Roman Matsov has kept in precarious surroundings have not been published from what I know.

It is on a 2 CD set called Estonian Orchestral Music 1896-2004  published by EMIK 2005.   Since its a current release on CD, would be a copyright violation.

What on Earth is a svae address, you must wonder. It must be save.
This was a result af a game between brain and fingers. These old fingers lost the game.

Sorry, I had not checked this page for some time  :-[
I thought that the CD set only included one movement from Ilves's 2nd Symphony. And if it also features Lemba's 2nd, I definitely need to buy it!

I've just uploaded the wonderful Last Confession of Job by Artur Kapp (1878-1952), from his oratorio "Job" (or "Hiiob" in Estonian). While the whole oratorio is for chorus, soloists and orchestra, this 6 minute section in the middle was written for violin and organ.  However, the version I have uploaded here is for violin and orchestra.  I don't know if the arrangement is by Kapp or someone else.

It is one of the most wonderful late-romantic little gems that I have come across in years, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I (repeatedly) do!

There is a recording of the whole oratorio available, and very good it is too. Neeme Järvi conducts the Estonian State Symphony Orchestra.  Recorded 1997.  See for example http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kapp-Job-Neeme-Jarvi/dp/B00003G9T4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1433436302&sr=8-1&keywords=kapp+job

It's also on youtube in its entirety if you can find it....

Well I'm glad someone noticed that I removed the link!  One thing I will say in favour of UC - when music is posted there, it generates discussion.  Hint, people...

This is usually rebroadcasted every year during the Christmas season on ERR radio.
