Inactive here for three months now, apparently.
Anyone know why?
Did I miss an explanation?
Not surprisingly, the forum is almost moribund without him.

Is it possible Colin is having health issues?
Or has he just lost interest?
Surely someone has tried to contact him.

I sent Colin an e-mail almost three months ago and never received a reply. At the time, I thought perhaps he just didn't have anything significant to say in reply, but now I wonder it's something more serious. I have to admit I've been a very infrequent visitor here lately as well since there hasn't been much activity, so I wasn't aware of his absence. I'll try contacting him again.

I just received a reply from Colin, and he assured me he is well and has not abandoned the forum. He's just returned from a trip abroad and will explain his absence shortly.

Did he indicate just how long was meant by "shortly"? One might assume he's now reconsidered, or is again abroad, - in which case even a brief travelogue would be accepted.

It seems to me like everyone has pretty much moved on from AMF.
Occasionally someone might post a link in regards to this or that, or a download, but it's been many months since anything approaching a discussion has occurred, or even an isolated discursive post from an individual member.
One has to acknowledge I think, that Colin "stirred the drink" here, and that without his provocations the forum is likely to remain pretty moribund, and even were he to return the old rhythm may be difficult to revive.
Is RIP AMF an appropriate pronouncement at this point?

It is a tremendous resource, so I would oppose it, sad though it is that few people seem to contribute. That is the fault of all members.

Sadly, I'm probably as much to blame as anyone for the decline of the forum at this point. Sad to say, it's been months since I posted anything of substance. The overall lack of activity here has certainly contributed to my absence, as well as my workload and other changes in my life, and the leadership vacuum from Colin. Unfortunately, I've heard nothing whatsoever from Colin since the lone message from him this past autumn. I have absolutely no idea what has led to his absence, and find the abruptness of his apparent departure out of character with what I've come to know of him in the past ten years or so. I hesitate to try contacting him yet again and disturb him if indeed he's "walked away" from the forum.
Fortunately, there hasn't been a crisis here recently but in the event one does arise I'll make another attempt to reach him for guidance. In the meantime, I guess we're sort of "self-propelled." Even though Colin refers to me as co-administrator (though I accepted this role with great reluctance), without his emails and prompts I really don't have a sense of what needs to be done to administer the forum. I do still have access to the administrator credentials so if there is a serious problem I can do my best to resolve it.
