I should be on commission for Dutton.  ::)

I apologise if this has already been discussed but this new release is a mandatory purchase:

John Pickard's exemplary re-orchestration of the main choral work is an incredible achievement, fully chiming in with Brian's "early" style. Everything else is equally convincing and well-performed. No wonder that Elgar was impressed with "Cleopatra". All in all. a splendid addition to both the Brian discography and to our knowledge of pre-WW1 British music.

This was of course discussed on here when it was released but you are quite right to bring our attention back to the music.

I shall however repeat that hugely impressive as is John Pickard's orchestration of "The Vision of Cleopatra" the piece which really held me entranced was "Requiem for a Rose"-the most gorgeous and beautiful music I think Brian ever wrote.
