This is a place for drawing attention to any dead links you find in the former Downloads section of the UC forum. Please announce them here. And if you (whether the original poster or some one else) happen to have the missing audio file, please fill the gap by reposting it. That way we will always have available a complete complement of all the rare and unsung works posted, right back to the earliest days.

I have made a start on checking the links with the nineteen pages of the "American" section of the archive. The following items, which were missing from the first page, have now all been restored:

Burrill Phillips:
piano concerto - now reposted, thank you

Philip Bezanson:
piano concerto - now reposted, thank you

Mary Carr Moore:
piano concerto - now reposted, thank you

(All posted on 19th September 2011)

Thanks to all concerned.

I have all of these on file on my pc because I downloaded everything from UC :) :) (One of the reasons given to me why I was unsuitable to be a moderator ::) ::)......but let's not go there again :( :().

I shall reupload them to Mediafire......but it WILL take me some time, so please be patient ;D ;D

Thank you so much Mr. D! Yes, I fear there will eventually be a considerable number of missing links. So as things turned out, the fact that you backed up so much was very much the correct course. I downloaded quite a few items, but only from certain threads - perhaps thirty or forty per cent of the whole. - Which I am attempting to remedy now, by going through everything and checking.

But having said that, I am glad to say that another member has unearthed most of the items missing from page 1 of the Americans (above), and I am about to repost them here.

Good!

Well, my offer still stands :) So if, at the end of the day, a particular item or items cannot be found, the chances are that I will have it on file.

Well done, Colin - it just goes to show how immensely valuable your diligence has been in making sure that nothing (or next to nothing) will be lost simply because original links have died.

Works by Pietsch, McDonald and Parker re-posted :)

I shall leave a "healthy" amount of time for the original poster to repost items before stepping into the breach.....but, as I have said before, I have virtually all missing items on file :)

(Which is proving a sensible thing to have done despite it being used as a stick with which to beat me with "over there" ::) ::))
