hmm. I'll consider composers reacting against serialism, atonality, etc.

Joseph Marx (1882-1964)
Ernst Toch (1887-1964) (earlier music was tonal, though he shifted later)
Egon Wellesz (1885-1974)
Ferdinand Andergassen (1892-1964) - I only have his romantic works published before 1950.
Franz Mittler (1893-1970)
Walter Bricht (1904-1970)
Hans Gal (1890-1987)
Theodor Berger (1905-1992)
Albin Fries (b 1955)
