Hello.  :)

I have been a reader of this forum for a long time, several years in fact, and think it's one of the best of its kind I've come across.

I'm based in the UK and I have a special interest in Russian (pre-Soviet) music and British music but my musical tastes are really very catholic - lower case 'c',  although sacred music is another genre I'm drawn to, thinking about it!

Looking forward to chatting with you all.  :)

Hi Demetrius - my interests are exactly the same.  I've found many rare recordings here and elsewhere.  I look forward to hearing more from you! Am also UK-based.

Hi Dmitri,

Good to see another British music lover, here!

Greetings from the wrong side of the pond (but Dutch music isn't bad, either), Christo

… music is not only an `entertainment’, nor a mere luxury, but a necessity of the spiritual if not of the physical life, an opening of those magic casements through which we can catch a glimpse of that country where ultimate reality will be found.  RVW, 1948

Certainly with you on the sacred music, Mr. Demetrius, & quite possibly the Russian too.

Welcome from me, too, Demetrius, bring on the Requiems!! I couldn't be much less religious, but my spiritual side sure likes the intensity of most of those masses of the dead, especially Berlioz.
