I have just posted a performance of Jan Zimmer's 12th Symphony in the Slovak Music Downloads folder. Does anyone out there happen to have his 4th Symphony, the only one we're missing?

Thank you so much for the Zimmer 12th, Maris :)
A fine composer indeed :) We have, as you say, all but one of his twelve symphonies now.
.........and the 12th is sounding splendid :) :)

Recently the 2nd symphony of Jurovsky, from a broadcast, was posted by another member. The work exists also on my Opus lp 9110 214. Yuu might find a little extra information welcome. Therefore I add the link to the notes from the sleeve: http://www.mediafire.com/view/?2h7ksspmpkdhsp8If someone is interested in havinga second version of the symphony (Klinda.organ - Slovenská filharmonia - Rajter) please let know. Thanks, Roelof and Jim, for Ilja Zeljenka's Symphonies 3 and 4 :)
A composer previously unknown to me, Zeljenka composed prolifically in all genres, including the fateful number of nine symphonies and two sinfoniettas. Roelof, you may want to add that Zeljenka passed away in 2007.

Kyjo,
Thank you for the extra info. You mention that he wrote 9 symphonies. So say the two sources I found. But I could not find any proof of existance of symphonies no. 6-9. Did you find the info in Wikipedia? If so, I think we can not rely on that information? If yoy have from another source: please let us know
Best regards, Elroel

http://www.mediafire.com/?7e3wv85jislycIt is an act of faith--or guessing?-- to put this here. I heard this Symphony No. 5, A Slovak in Engandin by Juraj Farkas on Slovakian radio and it is a recording of a live broadcast and I liked it a lot. Problem is I can find no information on Juraj Farkas: A Russian site refers to him as Slovenian-Hungarian, and he orchestrated some pieces by Jeno Hubay, but that is all I can find. I definitely would like to hear symphonies 1-4! If anyone has any information, I would appreciate it. Also, I included some of the announcement in Slovakian but I can't understand what orchestra is playing, so maybe someone else can translate for us. Hope you like it. Jim The orchestra is Sinfonia Engiadina, in German: Sinfonieorchester Engadin. Engiadina, as you probably know, is one of the Romanche-speaking valleys in Eastern Switzerland. My guess would be that it is the same Juraj Farkaš as the guitarist born in 1955, but probably contacting the orchestra management is the safest way to find out!
