Practitioner? Gosh I didn't know p-r-e-s-i-d-e-n-t was a censorable word, at least before now!

U.S.A.
A quote that never fails to provoke a laugh, yet now provokes distress --
“Americans have different ways of saying things. They say 'elevator', we say 'lift'... they say 'p-r-e-s-i-d-e-n-t', we say 'stupid psychopathic git’.” -- Alexei Sayle

Are you serious? Does this site's software turn 'practitioner' into 'practitioner' [this is a practical check]? And not 'p-r-e-s-i-d-e-n-t? But why? Can anyone tell us?  Shocked

Edit: the proof of the presidential pudding. But again: what for?
