How to cure musculoskeletal disorder? My sister who is a professional violinist is suffering from this disorder. It is affecting her career.
She has been suffering from neck, shoulder, and hand pain for the past few months. I have seen her taking Tylenol whenever she finds difficult to use the violin. I thought it was due to over practicing and didn't pay much attention. Last day she was not able to perform because of the pain. I became worried and I took her to a nearby GP. After examining he said that she is suffering from musculoskeletal disorder. He also said that this disease is mainly seen in instrumentalists who play string instruments.
Now she is under medication. She is worried about the situation. Will this be an end of her career in the music world? One of our aunts suggested consulting physiotherapists from a physiotherapy clinic in Burlington. She said physical therapy can help to reduce the pain, improve the flexibility and muscle strength and also helps to recover faster. I'm thinking of taking my sister to a physiotherapist. I hope she recovers from this disorder at the earliest. I'm just curious to know about one thing. Are there any musicians who quit their career because of musculoskeletal disorder?

I would look at alternative health practitioners... like chiropractors near her town or city.   Sometimes, they can be successful, sometimes they can't.   Its worth looking into.
