Interesting to see the brass rise up at the last outburst.  Thanks for posting.  Is he considered the preeminent living Russian composer?

Russia is lucky enough to have so many fine living composers that organising them in a league table would be a rather fruitless exercise ;)

Slonimsky is certainly held in very high regard.

Anyone know if he got past Symphony No. 33?
It seems strange that there are two wide gaps in available recordings of his symphony series i.e 13-18 and 22-27.

His official website (which is in English) is frustratingly coy about his actual output and the numeration of the symphonies, I'm afraid :-(

I have no idea who maintains his webpage.  It does seem to have fallen out of date, indeed. He really deserves a bit better than that.
