Arnold Bax was born at Streatham in 1883. This marvellous tone poem for large orchestra is one of his best and most popular works.

Ah, a real favourite ! It was Bax, Alwyn, Bantock and the like who first got me looking beyond the 'normal' repertoire maybe 10 years ago. Will never tire of them.
