I have one (and only one) Tate conducted CD in my collection, -
one of the very first CD's I ever acquired and one which remains
an all-time favorite recording, namely his EMI label disc of shorter
pieces by Butterworth, Bridge, Moeran, & Bax.  Gramophone
outrageously (in my judgment) panned his interpretations when
the CD was first issued, but as far as I'm concerned they have still
never been done better.  OTOH I'm familiar with no other Tate
recordings that really grabbed me or that I've felt compelled to
keep around.
