I just happened to listen to a short "suite" on YouTube from a horror movie "The Haunting of Seacliff Inn" by the American film composer Shirley Walker. I had not heard much about her before and the website I found didn't mention if she had also composed any more standard orchestral works, so I wonder if anybody knows. I may try to reach someone via the website, though the contact info isn't clear, but would be glad for any directions or information. The music was very impressive to me, along the quality of Bernard Herrmann, et al to me, though not an educated observation. Thanks, Jim

Is this the website you found?

Clicking on "about Shirley" reveals

Commissions:
"Spring Hodgepodge in four movements",
Commissioned by Gerry Aster and Dorothy W. Carlson, MD for for Pacific Serenades
World Premiere April 13, 2002

Not clear if that's a "standard orchestral work".
