Hello Tapiola,

do you mean Melartin's 'Traumgesicht'? It's just a standard mp3 file.
(YLE also has videos on their site  -  http://yle.fi/aihe/rso/torstaisarja-4,
but - as indicated - I have recorded it from a broadcast by DRadio Kultur in Germany.)

The performance of Hindemith's piano concerto (1945) with Markus Groh from the same concert yesterday
should not be missed either! I have recorded it as well and could upload it on request.
If time permits, I could also upload Natanael Berg's symphonic poem 'Traumgewalten' conducted by Okko Kamu,
transferred from a Musica Sveciae LP (the same LP which contains Atterberg's 3rd with Ehrling).

Best regards,
                       mjkF

BTW: do you have any news when the new Dutton releases will be available?

Thank you.  So that means I can download the Melartin onto a CD-R?
Dutton.....any day now.  Watch the website.

We're having trouble downloading this file. It is quite large. Is it possible to have a .zip file?

"Traumgesicht" or "Dream Vision" is a musical response to the water color by Albrecht Durer of his nightmare of world apocalypse. In 1525 yet.  It looks eerily like a nuclear bomb.

I clicked on the "Download" button up at the top right of the linked page and that took me straight to the Mediafire page without difficulty.

Tapiola, thanks for adding some context to this music, did not know Melartin wrote anything remotely sinister. I'm very eager to hear it.

His Symphonies 5 and 6 contain many dark, brooding and occasionally "sinister" passages.

Great work with the Aussie concert, Mr. Jim ! When you say the Kaila was 'screwed up', any idea what percentage we have got ?

The Kaila I sent was from SoundCloud so I think it is complete--it is a couple minutes longer than my first attempt. The problem is there is no info on the SoundCloud entry to indicate who the performers are.

OK, thanks; well done. For me, as long as it's complete, the performers are....less important !
