Alejandro Cardona (Costa Rica) - Cello Concerto 'Cantos Enterrados'

Gabriela Ortiz (Mexico) - Timpani Concerto
and 1st movement of Flute Concerto 'Altar de Viento'

German Borda (Venezuela) - Seis microestructuras para orquesta
(He also has an oboe, a bassoon & a trombone concerto available - all the works have a little preamble, but the performance in full comes after !)

Luck/right place, right time/an appreciation of what appears to be 'in vogue'/significant patronage...& perhaps more than a modicum of talent.

According to Peter Maxwell Davies, it was like passing through a curtain. One day you were nobody, and the next you were somebody, and there seemed to be no reason.
