In response to request:
from LP DGG Stereo 2531 070--I see no evidence of its being commercially available at present. It is fairly clear, with slight LP noise, of course. The file has the three movements of the concerto separated, as well as a file of the whole thing. Hope it is enjoyable.

Piano Concerto, Op. 69
1. Largo--Allegro--Largo--Allegro
2. Larghetto
3. Allegro molto
Abdel-Rahman el-Bacha, Piano

Jean de Middeleer  - Symphonie Congolaise (1949)

National Orchestra of Belgium
Léonce Gras, conductor

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ifmv4enqo4jfsai

from lp Decca 173.374

I think I bought this record many, many years ago in a sale in Antwerp (Belgium).
There were more Decca's but my purse was not too well filled those days, so I only
afford me a couple records with Belgian music.

In the fifties and sixties of last century De Middeleer was director of the Muziekakademie
in Tienen (Tirlemont) and music teacher at the Conservatoire royal de Musique in Mons.
The symphony was finished in 1949, but he started skectching it in 1945. From 1947-1951 he was director of the Conservatory in Nairoby (Kenya). Although he used some African sounds in this symphony it is not meant to describe Africa, but simply to give an impression from the enormous landscapes he saw there. In the first movement he placed a war song from the Kibende Tribe and In the  second movement a Kurugaga song. He left the two songs for the most part intact, to enhance the African feeling.

I tried filtering this recording, but than I found I lost to much of the high tones, so I left it with clicks and all, as was.

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?h525kf0ezdrnf79

He was born in Namur, where he started his musical training. Later he went to Brussels and Liège to study with Paul Gilson and Sylvain Dupuis. He won the Prix de Rome for his 'Legend of Béatrice'. He was in earlier years teacher at Conservatoire Royale de Liège and later he taught at Conservatory in Brussels.
He composed in almost every style of music, a.o. a radiophonic work 'The Death of Prometheus' and even an Operette (La Sultane de Paris)

The Oratorio was finished in 1938, first performed in Namur and later, during the World Exhibition from 1958, played for the second time.
The Suite he created from it has following parts: 1. Victory music and Danse; 2. Tumultuous after the confusion of the languages; 3. Complaints of Nimrod; 4. (finale) a Song of Hope and Believe.

I would I had the chance to once listening it in full. Well, you never know.

Robert Herberigs  -  De Nachtelijke Wapenschouw (1961) (Nocturnal Parade)
A Symphonic Poem for Large Orchestra

Philharmonic Orchestra of Antwerp
Léonce Gras, conductor

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?l3qa4g4lw49krrb

From lp Cultura 5071-3

The work is written after a ballad by Sedlitz and a lithographic print by Raffet, bus also extoling the personality of Napoleon Bonaparte. The work is sombre, may be due to fact that his beloved wife died in 1960.
First performance was in 1961 at a concert given in honour of the composer on his 70th birthday.

André Collin   -  Sevillana - Choreographic Fantasy -

National Orchestra of Belgium
René Defossez, conductor

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?wynt18m5qs9txqp

Sevillana is inspired by Spanish music, but with original themes of the composer.
At the end of this work you'll hear the 9-note theme of Chabrier's Espana. It combines with the important themes of the work. The brass section is heard clearly above all in the lively finale.

Source: lp Decca 173.403 (late 1960s)

André Collin was a menber of the Group des Synthésistes. His music has a moderate modern sound, with a refined sensitiveness.
