In 1951 Arthur Honegger published a short book entitled Je Suis Compositeur. It was translated in 1965 by Mr. W. O. Clough and Mr. A. A. Willman, both of the Wyoming University, and has now been made available through the Open Library.

One very interesting chapter is number five, in which Honegger "treats of the anomalies, the incoherences, the antiquated practices of musical notation, all very dear to the old autocrats who teach music." It is illustrated with many examples. Chapter eleven, entitled "Present and Future", is also fascinating. The work - entitled I am a Composer in this English version - discusses not only Honegger's own music, but also that of a good many others.

It comprises 149 pages; here it is in a rar archive:!Dp8TCBoT!hF3s6ge1QpbwEbcwFGzi-jO5qO7hLN7zYsSnLyj8NSA
