Hey Colin!  Look what I found! :o

Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, Denis Lotoev

Those Russians sure do seem to like their Soderlind!

Great find . Must be the most obscure find so far. Yes, I expect that Colin will be highly delighted. Thanks.

It is nice of you to alert us but Colin does already know this recording - as do I. I remember that someone provided this link at an earlier time.
Here's the link to Colin's (and most of us) missing symphonies:

Yes....I have had a download of this performance of the Soderlind 6th for a couple of years now :)

Brian is quite right to point out that the Russians and particularly the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, whether under Fedoseyev or in this performance under Lotoev, appear to appreciate the music of Soderlind more than the Norwegians themselves. I find it both extraordinary and very sad that two such fine symphonists as Soderlind and Halvor Haug have not received the attention they so manifestly merit.

There is a performance on YouTube of Soderlind's Violin Concerto played by Isaac Shuldman.

Just last week, one of Soderlind's ex-students posted a comment on the video. I have followed up by asking him if he knows of any recordings of Soderlind's later symphonies.
