There are some musical pieces of knowledge to which I would not admit, John ;D ;D

I was expecting to not have access to my computer through a power outage-now I've got a totally unrelated problem with it ::)! My computer has crashed recently (again!), so my posts will be relatively unsubstantial until it gets fixed (that means no worklists, of course) :(. I'm very sorry :-[!

Hi everyone,

I am finally back from my "cataloguing vacation", if you will-I have gotten a new computer which will hopefully work better than my old one ;D! Thank you all for being so patient :). Fortunately Colin was able to fill in for me (catalogue-wise, that is) during my unexcusably long cataloguing absence ;D! Sorry, though, no catalogues today, as the remainder of my day will be quite busy ::). Tomorrow-hopefully ;D!

I shall be away from the Art-Music Forum for a few days.

Off to London tomorrow for a meeting at the Foreign Office on Friday :)  Very excited; should be a memorable experience :)

Back Saturday evening.

I have returned from a quite amazing few days in London, which included dinner at The Athenaeum, London's oldest and most prestigious club(former members include Churchill, Charles Dickens, Charles Darwin, TS Eliot) and a most successful and productive meeting at the Foreign Office regarding the way in which the diplomatic content of my website can be supported and encouraged by the government officially, followed by a tour of the Foreign Office-a breathtakingly sumptuous building with architecture and furnishings from a bygone age of British Empire ;D

Unfortunately-depending on your point of view of course-the very success of the meeting may mean that over the next year or so I may be heavily committed to work in areas other than music and will have less time to give to this site.

Good job that I finished my composer catalogues just in time.......... ;D

Welcome back, Colin :)! The forum did seem a little quieter without you (not saying that's a good thing, of course) ;D. I'm glad you had such a good time! You'll see that I've posted some more additions and comments relating to your catalogues, so you'll want to check those out :). There's also been some great music uploaded since your departure that you'll definitely want to check out! It IS a good thing that you finished up your composer catalogues...just don't spend too much time away from this forum! We love having you here :).

Thanks, Kyle :)  (PM says more ;D)

It may take me some time to get around to downloading all the music uploaded during my absence....and correcting my catalogues ::)  So-please-bear with me if your corrections take some time to register :)

Just in case anybody might be wondering where I have disappeared to-not having posted for a week ::)- it is because I am definitely NOT "En Vacance" (or dead ;D).

I am just extremely busy working on www.britishdiplomatsdirectory .gulabin.com for Her Majesty's Foreign Office in London.

(Just goes to show that I don't just compile lists of Composers :))

I shall be back but I shall need to do a lot of catching up ;D

This thread does not seem to be used much these days-which is, I think, a pity :(

Anyway...I shall be on holiday with friends in Berlin from Tuesday until the following Monday. So..no postings from me over that period.
